| 1974 |
After meeting in 1972 in N.Y.C., Rick Roberts and Jock Bartley start jamming together in Boulder, Colo. Soon Mark Andes joins these sessions. With the addition of Larry Burnett, rehearsals begin for the new band, FIREFALL. When drummer Michael Clarke joins a few months later, the lineup is set and the group starts performing in earnest.

| 1975 |
Chris Hillman produces a demo tape of three songs for Firefall. The band is signed to Atlantic Records after two shows at the Other End in N.Y.C. Multi-instrumentalist David Muse joins the for rehearsals in Boulder. In Dec., the band records their first record at Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida.

FIREFALL first album released. It goes gold
in three months, quicker than any previous Atlantic Records album to date.
The single "You Are The Woman" rockets into the Top 10 and a number
of songs receive saturation FM radio airplay. The new band tours with the
likes of the Doobie Bros., Fleetwood Mac, the Band (for their last tour),
and the Beach Boys. |

FIREFALL
second album, "Luna Sea" is certified gold behind the smash hit
"Just Remeber I Love You". Continued non-stop touring with groups
like Lynard Skynard, Marshall Tucker, Kenny Loggins, Heart, etc. They appear
on such national TV shows as "Midnight Special" and "Austin
City Limits". |
| 1978 |
FIREFALL
third album goes gold then platinum behind the smash hit "Strange Way".
The band becomes Fleetwood Mac's opening band of choice during the "Rumors"
tour - the biggest summer show was in front of 125,000 people in Austin
, Texas. TV includes "American Bandstand" and "Solid Gold". |
| 1979 |
FIREFALL fourth album "Undertow"
is released, opening the way for the band's first major headlining tour.
They play to sold out Japanese audiences on a package with the Beach Boys,
Heart & Firefall. |
| 1981 |
Original
band breaks up. Jock Bartley becomes owner of the name and bandleader, reforming
the band. |
| 1982 |
FIREFALL
seventh album, "Break of Dawn" released on Atlantic Records, featuring
such guest artists as Stephen Stills and David Sanborn. The single "Always"
reaches the Top 40. |
| 1984 |
The
single "Runaway Love" is released off the eight album, "Mirror
of the World". The song's video is briefly played on MTV. For the following
number of years, the band tours constably. |
| 1991 |
Rhino
Records releases the first album, "FIREFALL" on CD. |
| 1992 |
"FIREFALL
Greatest Hits" CD released by Rhino Records that features all their
many Top 10 and Top 40 hit songs, plus at least on from each of their eight
albums and one new song, "Run Run Away" by Jock Bartley about
the victims of child abuse. |
| 1993 |
Written for the victims of the '93 Flood and played on
the radio for the first time six days after it was written, the song "When
The River Rises" recieves very much acclaim and midwestern airplay.
It is used by CNN and other networks behind flood coverage. A portion of
the publishing proceeds goes to flood relief. |
| 1994 |
FIREFALL "Messenger" CD released
on Redstone Records. |
| 1995 |
Rhino Records releases FIREFALL's 2nd, 3rd
and 4th albums on CD. |
| 1996 |
FIREFALL
play benefit concert for Special Olympics hosted by Arnold Swartzenegger
and Clint Eastwood. Tour Europe early winter. |
| 1997 |
FIREFALL
returns to Paris, France in early autumn to headline "West Coast Music
Festival" at Disney Paris with Ambrosia, Stephen Bishop and Big House. |
| 1998 |
In the middle of a hectic summer touring schedule, FIREFALL flies to Kodiac Island, Alaska for their first annual music festival. |
| 2002 |
The Essentials FIREFALL CD is released by Atlantic Records. Original FIREFALL members, Mark Andes, Rick Roberts, Jock Bartley and David Muse, join Dan Folgelberg on stage at Red Rocks for mini-reunion. |
| 2003 |
"You Are The Woman" is played on The Fox Network's hit TV show, 'That 70's Show.' Touring continues and plans are made for a live album. |
| 2004 |
Twenty five years after it actually sold over a million units, the band’s first album, ‘FIREFALL,’ is finally RIAA certified platinum. On May 16, ‘04, Jock’s birthday, a ‘Platinum Party’ was held at The Denver Hard Rock Café to celebrate the occasion and unveil The Hard Rock’s first addition to their new ‘Colorado Wall of Fame.’ Road gigs with REO Speedwagon, Allman Bros., Starship, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Poco, Ambrosia, Pure Prairie League and others.

The band’s busiest touring schedule in many years. In Annapolis, MD., former lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Larry Burnett and wizard guitar maker, Paul Reed Smith both join FIREFALL on stage for an incredible evening. In Boulder and Louisville, CO., former lead singer and co-founding band member, Rick Roberts sits in and sings some of those famous songs he wrote. |
| 2006 |
The ‘Legends of Country Rock’ Package - that includes Firefall, Poco and Pure Prairie League – tours many U.S. cities. Jock Bartley records his 1st-ever solo CD, ‘Blindside,’ in Lyons and Boulder, Colorado with many notable guests appearing on the album. “Beatles Art – Fantastic New Artwork of The Fab Four,” a coffee table book, is released nationally in August by Boxigami Books – Jock has four art pieces included and was given the honor of writing the Foreword. |

Bartley’s ‘Blindside’ CD is released on 1/3/07 and receives rave reviews, and generates much attention and airplay on European and Australian radio. Steven Weinmeister and Jock Bartley, recording as ‘FIREFALL ACOUSTIC,’ begins work on ‘Colorado To Liverpool – A Tribute To The Beatles.’ The fresh acoustic tribute CD will be the second release from Winged Horse Records LLC, released on September 3, 2007. Many noteable live shows include BB King's in NYC, a sell-out with Poco. |
